9YRS
Early phase, if any
Only when a short first phase now saves a longer one later.
12YRS
Braces or aligners
Most adult teeth are in. This is when most treatment starts.
14YRS
Adjustments
Every 6–8 weeks for 12–24 months. Colours change, homework doesn't.
16YRS
Braces off
The big day. Photos, a retainer fitting, and yes — the sticky food list ends.
18YRS
Retainers, for life
Nights only after the first year. Lost one? We replace it fast.
